1: Introduction to Meditation
Everything you experience, see, hear, touch, smell, taste, think, anticipate, remember, every emotion you feel, everything you have or will ever experience, is experienced in your mind. Meditation is a discipline that teaches one how to control consciousness, rather than be controlled by it.

This is a wonderful release for the overworked eyes. Moreover, it is a spiritual practice used independently in many widely divergent disciplines spanning the planet.

This technique uses a visualization to help students (even first time meditators) to experience profound meditative experiences. Students should maintain control of the process, and feel free to customize or adjust the exercise in whatever way feels right and works for them.

4: Counting Meditations
This counting meditation is designed to improve your ability to hold the mind steady, without wandering. It is not very elegant or spiritual, but it does strengthen your "concentration muscles."

5: Working Meditation
Working Meditation is ideal for those who feel they do not have time for a formal sitting or walking meditation practice.

6: Breathing Meditations
All forms of meditation are built on a solid foundation of good breathing techniques and are centered around breath awareness.

7: Eating Meditations
Try practicing one of the following two Eating Meditations before your next meal. Take a small portion of food, like a single strawberry, raisin or a slice of apple or orange, or a cracker.

8: Mantra Meditations
So-Haun Mantra Meditation: This is one of the oldest of the Mantras. A Mantra is a sacred sound used to enhance meditation. Mantric Yoga is a school of yoga that uses different sounds to induce spiritual awareness. So-Haun is sometimes called the Universal Mantra, or the Mantra of Breath.

9: Writing Meditation
Anything can be elevated to the level of meditation when the goal is not the finished product, but instead to be fully immersed in the process. You can meditate upon washing dishes, walking, chanting, or the flow of thoughts through your mind.

10: Detached Observation Meditation
Remember laying on your back as a kid, and watching the clouds without trying to change them, control them, or pass judgment on them?
